Detoxification:
Drug detoxification, or detox, is the first step in a comprehensive rehabilitation program that offers all the tools required for recovery. Detox can prevent unpleasant or fatal consequences resulting from the sudden cessation of use and can aid the patient in becoming abstinent from drugs.
The goal of any detox program is physiological healing after long-term drug addiction – first through stabilization, then through a period of detoxification. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), after stabilization the focus of detox shifts to the monitoring and support of the various processes of the body as it rids itself of the drug, and to the managing the often unpleasant withdrawal symptoms that result.
Assessment:- take information about drug abuse history from patient & family.
Motivational Counseling:- It is a therapeutic technic to change the patient cognition.
Treatment Plan:- Provide treatment plan according to client needs.
In-House:- In house is a 90 days treatment time to achieve recovery.
Follow up:- Follow up is a routine checkup like once a week.
Discharge Plan
Discharge planning focuses on your personal challenges and progress and is refined throughout the process. PHERA makes sure you are ready to face the challenges that may occur when returning home.
After Care
Addiction aftercare programs focus on maintaining sobriety. Skills continue to be developed and strengthened, and clients increase their confidence in the ability to sustain recovery. Aftercare also provides support when challenges or difficulties occur in the immediate transition period after residential treatment at PHERA.
As an essential part of the residential treatment program, each client works closely with their therapist to plan the aftercare process. PHERA’s will:
- Design a fully individualized aftercare program with the client
- Contact an appropriate addiction aftercare therapist prior to the client’s discharge from PHERA
- Ensure that the selected aftercare therapist understands the client’s history, goals, and progress
- Book the first appointment on behalf of the client with the aftercare therapist
The aftercare plan that is developed as part of the complete addiction aftercare services at PHERA includes creating a specific, personalized plan of what the post-discharge period will look like. This plan is extremely detailed, and may include things such as attending the gym four times a week, eating healthy meals, attending Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings four times a month, getting an NA sponsor, planning sober fun outings weekly—the aftercare plan is based on personal commitments to support the recovery journey and no two will look alike.
